Baby Bump

Ah, the awkward time between regular clothes and maternity clothes. Yes, most of my regular pants have become too tight at this point, but my "barely there baby bump" just doesn't seem to justify full blown maternity pants just yet. I have to admit, it's fun though to finally start to look pregnant and although it's probably still a little early to feel movement yet, I could swear I felt our little peach wiggling around in there the other day. We've heard the heartbeat a couple of times now and mom and baby both seem strong and healthy.

The Announcement

For those of you who may not know already, my husband and I are expecting our first little bundle of joy sometime in September. We waited awhile to "officially" announce the news but now that we are safely through the 1st tri - mester , we're ready to tell the world. The last couple of months have been rough - lots of morning sickness (or as I became accustomed to calling it "all-day sickness"). On top of that, my work schedule required me to be there 50 - 60 hours a week so I was pretty much exhausted all the time. Our house got a little messy and I didn't do much cooking (okay, honestly I don't think I cooked at all) but my husband really impressed me by stepping up to the plate and taking on many of the household responsibilities. I'm happy to report that I'm feeling much better and looking forward to the rest of the pregnancy and the transition to "parenthood".
