Hungry Eyes...or should I say hungry belly!

We were going to wait until after our California vacation next month to start Jenica on solids, but she's woken up in the middle of the night for the last 4 nights in a row, after sleeping through since she was 9 weeks old, so we decided it must be time to add a little more sustenance to her diet. Pay no attention to her wild bed head, we filmed this this morning right after she woke up.
As you can see in the video, she started out wanting to reach for the cereal and the spoon, but by the end she was doing very good at keeping her hands in her lap. Hopefully those good table manners will continue :)

You do such a good job of choosing appropriate music! How fun!! She reminds me of a little baby birdie with her open mouth and bobbing head...oxox

Some of you have noticed that we moved. Some of you know that I bought a house. Some of you know I bought the house with my kids’ dad, my “wasband” of 5 years. Yup, you read that right! Me and the ex-husband purchased a home together. No, we are not getting back together. We have totally separate living spaces and it’s been so wonderful for the kids. (I wrote this a month ago, but I’m just now finally brave enough to share it here. If you comment, please be kind.) I’ve probably taken 25 flights over the last year or so, and every time up until now I’ve thought that things would be better if the plane I was on just crashed, and I died, and Rob could collect the insurance money and hire a nice nanny to care for the kids and I could just go to heaven and be with Jesus instead of having to go through all the pain and hurt that comes with getting divorced. I know that this is completely selfish of me, and I would have never done anything to intentionally end my own life and leave my kids without a mother, but I honestly felt that death was the only way out of the situation I was in.
