Road Trip Day 14 - Kansas
Woke up in a Walmart parking lot again this morning. So far on this trip we haven’t had any problems with no parking signs at Walmarts. Not sure what the deal was in our last trip down to Utah.
We drove about 45 minutes South to Hebron, Nebraska - home of the Worlds Largest Porch Swing (thank you Google maps).
I think I read it can fit 28 people on it.
The playground was really cool too so the kids had a chance to play for a bit and stretch their legs.
Then we headed in to Wichita to pick up a rental car, then drove to our friends house in Greensburg, Kansas.
Rob and Leslie went to school together and her and her family attended our church in Molalla until they moved out here. It was really great to catch up with them and see how much all the kids have grown.
They have a pretty cool story of how they ended up owning the piece of land that they have now.
The sunset from their property was so pretty and we even got to watch the cows come home.
The kids got to see fireflies for the first time, and some other giant bugs that we don’t have names for.
We will spend the night here tonight, then drive to Denver tomorrow so Rob can work from their Monday before we catch our flight home around 3:30 (not great internet out here, but it sure is peaceful and quiet.)
